Who you are agreeing with
createavataaars.com is run by Kurcz Software GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany. The Imprint has the full details. Using the site means these terms apply.
A free service
The tool, your account and the MCP server are free. They are offered as they are and as available, and we may change or end them.
Your account
Downloading or sharing an avatar needs a free Kurcz account. You must be at least 16. The same account works in every Kurcz app.
The avatars you make
Use them anywhere, personally or commercially, with no fee to us. We claim no rights in them. Each style’s licence still applies:
- Avataaars by Pablo Stanley: free for personal and commercial use.
- Notionists, Lorelei and Thumbs: CC0 1.0. Nothing is required.
- Adventurer, Adventurer Neutral and Big Smile: CC BY 4.0. Credit the artist, link the licence, and say the avatar was changed.
Shared links are public
Anyone with an avatar’s link can see it and make a copy. Removing an avatar from My avatars does not switch its link off, because the link is the avatar.
What you may not do
Do not use avatars for unlawful content, harassment or hate. Do not get around the rate limits, for example with several accounts or addresses. We may block access that does.
Ending it
Remove your avatars from this site on the account page at any time. Delete your whole Kurcz account at kurczsoftware.com/account.
Changes
When these terms change, the date above changes. Before a material change takes effect, we email account holders.
Law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country you live in still apply. For business customers, the courts of Stuttgart decide.
Disputes
Kurcz Software GmbH is neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
